La Fondation Bettencourt Schueller

Both a family foundation and a recognized public-interest charitable organisation since its creation, the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller aims to "taking talent to the top" to contribute to France’s success and influence.

The Foundation achieves this by seeking out, selecting, supporting, accompanies and promoting the women and men who are imagining today the world of tomorrow, in three fields that make a tangible contribution to the common good : the life sciences, the arts, and solidarity. In a philanthropic spirit, it acts through awards, grants, personalised support, communication and co-constructed initiatives. Founded in 1987, it has rewarded since then 634 laureates and supported more than 1,000 projects carried by various teams, non profit organizations, institutions and organisations. #talentsfondationbettencourt

Since 1999, the Foundation has been rewarding every year exceptional craftsmanship and creativity in the field of arts and craft, through the Liliane Bettencourt Prize pour l'Intelligence de la Main® and its three awards : Talents d'exception, for craftspeople, Dialogues, open to craftspeople working in collaboration with designers, and Parcours, for companies in the fine crafts sector.

Born of the conviction that craftsmanship is at the heart of our history and a valuable asset for the future of creation, this Prize is today an award of excellence, which contributes to the influence of craftsmanship in France and internationally. In addition to the grant, it offers the laureates tailor-made support to help them structure their business, design a creative career path, acquire new skills and strengthen their visibility and market presence.
