Le Mobilier Immobile

Le Mobilier Immobile

A relevance that I want to work on from both a symbolic and a physical, immediate perspective, in the relationship that the stone maintains with the environment since it is towards outdoor furniture that I want to direct the research. It is there, it seems to me, that this material takes on its full meaning because it lives with time.

Rarely explored by contemporary design, the stone furniture "implanted" outside, immobile, disrupts the established codes of furniture design and positions the research I wish to conduct at the intersection of architecture, sculpture, and design. The art of living outdoors in Italy provides a favorable context for this articulation between outdoor space and furniture object. My research will be close to physical confrontation. A battle that can only be fought on a life-sized scale.
