Planches

These furniture pieces aim to display the interplay of physical forces at work: they respond to each other to form stable, calm constructions without tension. The shapes are based on geometric assemblies and the organization of the statics of the planks in space. The furniture showcases each element in a way that contributes comprehensibly to the whole. It is a proposal for a minimal material response. The project was initiated upon the invitation of Domeau & Pérès and Emmanuel Perrotin. Exhibition at Galerie Perrotin, Paris, 2008.
