Learn moreThe translucency of parchment allows for work on a backlit table. The drawings and patterns are prepared in black felt on tracing paper, which facilitates the distribution of ink droplets, deposited with a pen, on the page. The quality of the shellac-based inks allows it to adhere to the surface of the parchment without being absorbed and thus reflect ambient light. The binding of this unique book is the result of assembling two parchment sheets, drawn and then doubled with suede. The decor of the back in colored vertical lines follows from this assembly, as well as the coloring of the edges. The covers are in crumpled white goatskin parchment on a colored background.
