Panneau - Bleu-noir 3
Panneau - Bleu-noir 3
This panel is made from a silk canvas, previously woven in India. The thick weft of the fabric, irregular and not very recessed, allows folds to be marked to form the reserve. The textile is then rolled up on a tube, partially covered with a plastic net and ligatured according to the technique derived from arashi shibori. The superposition of the fabric in certain places allows the black dye to pass through to reveal different shades of blue-gray to black. In addition, the use of the applied net in reserve creates a graphic that evokes engraving.
