Technique of rapid marquetry.

Creation of "rapid ornamentation", combining a veneer of fine wood with a sheet of non-ferrous material such as aluminium, brass, bronze or copper, making the wood more resistant to abrasion and impact. Grilles can be 3D printed to control patterns, dimensions, colours and relief. After sanding, the grid partially reappears on the surface, creating patterns that can be regular or more erratic, depending on the aesthetic requirements. There are two possible outcomes: drilling the wood or allowing it to cover the grid, thus offering an alternative to bas-relief sculpture. ARCA is able to produce curved parts using this technique. The maximum surface area is 2000 x 1000mm. The thinnest thickness is 2mm. The workshop prefers dark woods and metals, as they turn the wood grey when sanded. The price per m² depends on the quantity, the type of wood and the complexity of the grid. This technology can be combined with C°-Wood
