n homage to Isidore Odorico, the City of Rennes commissioned the creation of a mosaic to adorn the footbridge installed near the former workshop of the famous mosaicist. The frieze seeks to continue his approach and attitude: Odorico had envisioned a modernism of the mosaic, the frieze is a conceptual mosaic. The project inventories the materials left behind by Odorico in a collection now housed by the City of Rennes. The colors and materials are distributed proportionally to their respective quantities in order to form a path ranging from the most common to the rarest materials.
