Portail de la cathédrale de Liège

Portail de la cathédrale de Liège

The Cathedral of Liège has created an entrance that serves as a manifesto, a brilliant sign marking the invitation to enter, and a program attesting to the desire to integrate contemporary culture into the mission of the cathedral. The new entrance consists of two complementary creations: a golden brass and stainless steel door, a collaboration between the artist and the Saint-Jacques workshops of the Coubertin Foundation (in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse), and a floating stained glass window on a model also created by the same artist, produced in the Loire workshops in Chartres.

To complete its extensive renovation program, this cathedral has created an entrance that serves as a manifesto. It is intended to be a brilliant sign, marking the invitation to enter. The entrance is also a program, attesting to the desire to integrate contemporary culture into the mission of the cathedral.
