In the revolutionary calendar, cork was the day of the month of "Frimaire" equivalent to December 17th. As the light of the year dwindles, the heat of the ovens and the cork ignite to give birth to a rock vase as fragile as the mountain is hard. The cork mold is consumed, leaving in its final trace the light of these vases.
