CollectionGrégoire Scalabre

The expression of a dynamism of forms constitutes the recurring ambition of Grégoire Scalabre, a sculptor-ceramist who has attracted the attention of collectors in recent years, following a fruitful residency between 2008 and 2011 at the Manufacture Nationale de porcelaine in Sèvres. This decisive step in his institutional recognition has also accompanied an evolution of his formal vocabulary: from the register of dissemination and accumulation, through meticulously turned and assembled small forms into undulating and kinetic wall or table landscapes, he has transitioned to a more abstract synthesis of sculptural form, multiplying dizzying perspectives within a unitary form, with complex elaboration and an assumed monumental character.
