CollectionVéronique Ellena

Véronique Ellena primarily works with photography, but also with poetry and stained glass design. Her work explores the concept of image in all its aspects: meaning and construction, material, color, light, and transparency. She is particularly interested in the idea of the sacred and how it can infuse our everyday lives. She also seeks to celebrate the ordinary. She illuminates the beauty of "the small things in life that we no longer see," akin to the simple, religious, human, animal, or plant existences depicted in certain church stained glass windows. Stained glass represents the synthesis of her work on the meaning and construction of the image.
