Portrait
Based in Champforgeuil, Burgundy, Ébénisterie Pierre Joussot et Fils respects traditional French cabinetmaking, carving and lacquering techniques perpetuated since the 18th century, and applies them to contemporary creations. The company's attachment to these skills led it to take over the Maison Jouffroy, founded in 1850 and a specialist in woodturning for round and oval frames.
"Our professions call for highly qualified profiles, and we need to be creative, versatile and flexible to master techniques that are constantly being renewed. The use of new technologies is also essential: digital software accompanies us at every stage of the production chain."
The Ébénisterie Pierre Joussot et Fils combines tradition and mastery of craftsmanship with cutting-edge practices such as wood metallization by spraying or application. This innovative approach is also reflected in the company's commitment to responsible eco-design based on environmental impact and consideration of the life cycle of its creations, from the extraction of raw materials.
