Laurent Nogues is keen to perpetuate the skills for which he is renowned, and is constantly experimenting and breaking new ground, both technically and aesthetically. L'ateleir Créanog produces paper inlays on textiles, embossing and hot stamping on wood sheet, overprinting on metallization, printing on real silk sheet and textiles, art prints, tactile books and POP displays.
"I've always been convinced of the need to evolve our techniques to serve contemporary ideas, and thus guarantee their longevity."
Créanog is committed to the development of tactile reading, and aims to open up areas previously unexplored by tactile books, such as photography and architecture, to the visually impaired. Créanog is also committed to a more global approach so that the ancestral techniques of embossing and hot stamping can continue to endure and adapt to the needs of the future.
