Janine Jacquot-Perrin, graduated in mural art from Nancy's Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in 1969, set up her glass studio in Laxou in 1987. She creates monumental works and works in the fields of art, architecture and interiors. "My starting point is water: droplets, ice, snow, glass material inspire me for these representations with a feeling of fragility. Hardness/fragility, transparency/translucency, chance/control, smooth texture/rough texture, cutting/roundness, among all these paradoxical qualities, I chose to make them dialogue: transparency, wall, architecture."
Particularly interested in light, shadow, reflection, refraction, recursion and caustic effects, Janine Jacquot-Perrin regularly travels for study trips to Africa, Asia, the United States and Lebanon.
