Mylinh Nguyen creates one-off pieces and small series using metal machining and silver brazing techniques. Brass, aluminum, machined zinc, spring steel and ball bearings give life to jellyfish, carnivorous plants, flies, metal monsters and other curiosities that make up the bestiary of her sculptures and jewellery.
"I like working with metal because it allows for extreme precision. I am interested in creatures and animals because behind their strangeness, there is grace."
Alongside her artistic projects on the theme of movement or swimming, Mylinh Nguyen has created a collection of small, more accessible accessories and jewellery, magnetic buttons, which take up the animal theme.
